Editorial Policy

NSCT Prepis a free practice platform for Pakistan's National Skills Competency Test (NSCT). This page explains who writes the content, how it is produced and checked, what we do when something is wrong, and how you can help us fix it.

Who writes the content

All content is written and published by Muhammad Abdullah Awais, a BS Computer Science graduate who has taken the NSCT himself. He runs NSCT Prep as an independent project and is responsible for every question, explanation, and article on the site.

What we publish

• Practice questions (31,290). Multiple-choice questions organised into 10 subjects and topic pages that follow the NSCT competency areas. Each question is tagged by subject, topic, and difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard) and includes a written explanation of the correct answer.
• University-shared questions (2,518). A separate collection contributed by computer science students at a Pakistani university from their own class assessments. These are published as they were shared, grouped by subject; some do not have explanations, and questions without a known answer are marked as practice-only and are not scored.
• Guides and articles. Revision guides for individual subjects and preparation advice written specifically for the NSCT.

How content is produced

Some explanations and articles are drafted with AI tools, then reviewed and edited by the author before publishing. AI tools are used to speed up drafting, not to replace review: the author checks technical accuracy, rewrites unclear passages, and removes anything that cannot be supported.

Articles follow a few simple rules:

• Official facts about the NSCT (registration, dates, question count, duration, and rules) come only from the official portal, nsct.hec.gov.pk. When a detail changes between test cycles, we point readers to the official student guide instead of guessing.
• We do not invent statistics, pass marks, or success rates.
• Claims about how people learn (for example, the benefits of practice testing) link to the published research they are based on.
• Each article shows its author and the date it was published and last updated.

Independence

NSCT Prep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Virtual University of Pakistan (VU), P@SHA, or any body that administers the NSCT. Our questions are practice material written to cover the published competency areas; they are not official test questions. Advertising on the site does not influence what we write. Corrections

With thousands of questions, mistakes happen. Every practice question on a topic page has a “Report an error in this question” link that opens an email with the question details filled in. You can also email contact@abdullahawais.com directly.

We aim to review reports within a few days. When a report is confirmed, the question, answer, or explanation is corrected; significant changes to articles are reflected in their “Updated” date.
